Rogelio’s Obituary Rogelio Silva Jr., 66 years old, went to be with the Lord Tuesday January 15, 2019. He was born July 31, 1952, in Brownsville, Texas to Rogelio Silva Garcia and Consuelo Martinez. Roger was a true patriot at heart and he loved his country.

He proudly served in the United States Marine Corps. He was proud to be a Marine and proud of all those who served in the military. He leaves behind to cherish his wonderful memory his loving and devoted wife of 39 years, Lidia Silva, his only daughter, Connie S. Cecilio and her husband, SFC Robert Dale Cecilio, grandaughters, Yaraseth and Yasavith Cecilio, two brothers, Jose E. Moreno (Ninfa), Domingo Moreno Sr. (Soila), and sister, Josie Moreno.

He is also survived by numerous nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends. Rogelio is preceeded in death by his parents who loved, cared and raised him, Juan Moreno and Salome C. Moreno, brothers, Juan E. Moreno, Antonio Moreno, one sister Angie M. Saldivar, and Rogelio Silva Garcia. Monday January 21, 2019 at 2:00 pm there will be a Memorial Ceremony at the Iwo Jima Memorial, 320 Iwo Jima Blvd.

Harlingen, TX 78550 with Pastor Manny Portillo. Later from 4 to 9 pm his body will lie in state in the Trinity at Harrison Funeral Home Chapel. Then Tuesday, January 22, 2019, from 9 am – 12:30 pm followed by departure at 1 pm to Rio Grande Valley State Veterans Cemetery, in Mission for burial at 2 pm with full military honors under the auspices of the United States Marine Corps.
