Roger Parker Sr., (AKA) Podge, born March 16, 1949 to Elzia Landford Parker and Lorraine Loar, in Columbus Ohio. Podge was preceded by his two brothers Ronald and Larry Parker and is survived by his brother Tom Sheridan, his two sons Roger Parker Jr. and Brian Parker (daughter-in-law Theresa Parker) and three grandchildren Amanda Parker, Michele Parker and Reis Parker. Podge enjoyed refurnishing furniture, working and racing cars.

He was always a helping hand to everyone and loved to cook. The public is invited for viewing services at Meldrum’s Mortuary in Mesa, Thursday night at 5PM. For those that will not have a chance to visit Thursday night are more than welcome to come anytime throughout Friday from 10AM – 4PM at All Options Funeral Home in Tempe, and internment is at Mesa City Cemetery at 11AM Palm 23 ” The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want.

He makes me lie down in green pastures; he leads me beside still waters; he restores my soul. He leads me in right paths for his names sake. Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I fear no evil; for you are with me; your rod and your staff – they comfort me.

You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; you anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life; and I shall dwell in the house of the Lord my whole life long.
