Ruth’s Obituary A caring Cremation has taken place for Ruth Anne Crist, 69, of Phoenix. Friends and family may come and share their memories and celebrate the life of Ruth at the Tempe Mortuary, 405 E Southern Ave, Tempe, Arizona 85282 on Thursday, February 7, 2019 from 12:00pm – 3:00pm. Ruth was born in Columbus, Ohio on February 12, 1949 to the late Carl Henry and Margaret Anne (Verhoff) Waibel.

Prior to retirement, Ruth was a Registered Nurse at Desert Cove Nursing Center. Survivors including her loving husband of 51 years, David Allen Crist, whom she married August 12, 1967; Children, Cynthia A. (Crist) Randall, Jason A. (Brooke) Crist. Brothers and Sisters, Dianne (Charlie) Farrell, Carl (Sherry) Waibel, Jr., Joan (David) Elliott and Donna (Mark) Thogmartin; Grandchildren, Trevor, Nicole, Zachary (Alejandra) Ella, and Coen.

Survived by many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Margaret Ann Waibel, brother Mark Waibel. Ruth was a wonderful, loving, wife, mother, grandmother, and a friend to many.

Ruth loved her grandchildren and being with her family and friends. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Arrangements entrusted to Tempe Mortuary.
