Marianne, a retired teacher, was born on September 4, 1940 in Elgin, Illinois to Joseph and Anna (Novak) Prevratil. She is survived by her husband, Harry Mitchell of Tempe; son, Mark Mitchell of Tempe; daughter, Amy Hartley of Tempe; brother, Joseph Prevratil of California; sister, Yvonne Bryant of Chino Valley and 5 grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 5:00-8:00PM, Wednesday, June 5, 2019 at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church, 2121 S. Rural Rd. , Tempe with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM, Thursday, June 6, 2019; also at the Church with Reverend Nathan Castle leading the Mass.

Graveside services will be held at 9:00 AM, Friday, June 7, 2019 at the City of Mesa Cemetery, 1212 N. Center St., Mesa. Tempe Mortuary is entrusted with the arrangements.
