Roland’s Obituary Roland Lewis Langley, Sr., 79, of Lexington passed away on Friday, March 29, 2019 at his home. Funeral services will be held 4pm Sunday, March 31 at Arrington Heights Freewill Baptist Church with Revs. Doug McGee and Rev.

James Messer officiating. Burial will follow at Arrington Heights Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation with family and friends will be held 5-7pm Saturday, March 30 at Davidson Funeral Home in Lexington and other times at Arrington Heights FWB Church fellowship hall.

Roland was born in Davidson County on June 14, 1939 to Jackson ‘Jack’ Porter Langley, Sr. and Helen House Langley. He was a member of Arrington Heights FWB Church and had previously worked at Thomasville Furniture. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Joe and Richard Langley.

Surviving are his loving wife, Brenda Gayle Langley, of the home; sons, Roland (R.L.) Langley Jr. (Donna) and Lamar Langley (Lisa), both of Lexington; daughter, Tammy Garvey Jeff (DoDo) of Lexington; and brothers, Jack Langley, Jr. (Gerrie) and David Langley ( Tootie), both of Lexington one sister, Becky Blackwell (Bill); 9 grandchildren, Jason, Crystal, Derek, Tiffany, Brandy, Chuck, Chad, Will and Tito; 12 great-grandchildren and his special four-legged friend, Gracie.
