Roma R. Lawrence, age 97, formerly of Nevada, and Upper Sandusky, passed away on Monday, July 16, 2018, passed away at the Worthington Christian Village, Columbus, Ohio. Roma was born on April 15, 1921 in Antrim Township, Wyandot County, to Sherman and Matilda (Brandt) Klinger, both of whom are deceased. She married LeVern Lawrence on October 8, 1939 and he passed on May 10, 1993.

She is survived by her 4 daughters: Shirley (Jack) Atha, Tempe, Arizona, Bonnie (Donald) Schwaderer of Powell, Sandra (Richard) Jordan of Westerville, and Jacqueline (Pat) Newton of Arcadia. 7 grandchildren: Leslie Fellers, Julie McIntosh, Mindy Polasky, Andrew Schwaderer, Christina Jordan, Nicholas Downing and Nathan Downing, along with 9 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 3 brothers: Dwight, George and Harold Klinger, and 4 sisters: Kathryn Shipman, Florence Clark, Martha Jane Kipker, and Isabelle Eby.

Roma was a homemaker and helped her husband on the family farm. She was a lifelong member of the Emanuel United Church of Christ in rural Upper Sandusky. Funeral services for Roma Lawrence will be held at 11:00am Friday, July 20, 2018 at the Emanuel U.C.C., 13989 Township Hwy.

127, Upper Sandusky, Ohio 43351 with Pastor Jay Scott officiating. Burial will be at Nevada Cemetery. Visitations will be held 1 hour before service time on Friday at the Emanuel U.C.C. Memorial contributions may be made to the Emanuel United Church of Christ or Worthington Christian Village and can be sent to Lucas-Batton Funeral Home, 476 S. Sandusky Ave.
