Ronald B. Day, age 52, of Johnstown passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, January 19, 2019 at his residence. He was born on May 1, 1966 in Amsterdam, a son of the late James J. Day and Doris Johnson Day of Johnstown, who survives. Ron was a graduate of Johnstown High School.

He was employed at Security Plumbing and Heating Supply in Johnstown for many years and was recently promoted to Manager. Mr. Day was a member of the Johnstown Moose and the Johnstown Eagles. He loved to make people laugh, was devoted to his family, and always had a smile on his face.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by three daughters Kayla Day (Cassie) of Gloversville, Megan Day of Phoenix, Arizona and Emily Day of Johnstown, one son James Day (Morgan) of Johnstown, nephew and honorary son Kenny Pagano of Amsterdam; two brothers Richard Day (Mary) of Gloversville and James Day (Kathleen) of Wantagh, one sister Carol Day Meinecke, his significant other Rita Ciatto, the mother of his children Elizabeth Pagano and one granddaughter on the way, Charlotte Elizabeth Day. Ron is predeceased by his two brothers Robert Day and Tommy Day. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, January 26, 2019, at the A.G. Cole Funeral Home, Inc., 215 E. Main Street, Johnstown with Rev.

Dr. R.W. Williams officiating. Following the funeral service, a celebration of life gathering will be held at 3:00 P.M. at the Johnstown Eagles, F.O.E. 1575, 12 S. William Street, Johnstown, New York 12095. Visitation for family and friends will be prior to the service on Saturday, January 26, 2019 from 10:00 A.M. to 2:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
