Ronald B. Wooddell, Sr., 77, died on Wednesday, January 16, 2019 at his residence. He was the husband of the late Janice B. (Conaway) Wooddell. Ronald was born in Washington, DC on December 19, 1941, son of the late Verna Charlotte (Small) Mitzel.

During his career, he was employed with Danskin and Flinchbaugh Engineering in York and Pack West during his time in California. Ronald served in the U.S. Army. He loved watching Sci-Fi movies and playing games on the computer.

Ronald is survived by two daughters, Tammy J. Williams and her husband, Rickey of Shiremanstown and Ronda Wine and her husband, Travis of York; his son, Ronald B. Wooddell, Jr. of York; eight grandchildren, Kaylah Schuler, Gabrielle Resh, Danielle Conaway, Joshua Conaway, Brandon Wine, Benjamin Wine, Brett Wine, and Alex Wine; nine great grandchildren; and two brothers, Richard Wooddell and Millard Mitzel. He was preceded in death by a son, Daniel Conaway and a grandson, Tony Resh. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 22, 2019 at the Etzweiler Funeral Homes and Cremation Service, 1111 E. Market St., York, with the Rev.

Dr. Eddie D.D. Miller officiating. There will be a viewing on Tuesday from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the funeral home to help Ronald’s family with funeral expenses. Arrangements by the Etzweiler Funeral Homes and Cremation Service, 1111 E.
