Obituary for Mr. Ronald “Byrd” Jones Mr. Ronald W. “Byrd” Jones, age 68, of Wartrace, passed away May 28, 2018, at Tennessee Valley Healthcare Alvin C. York campus. Funeral services will be 3 PM Sunday, June 3, 2018, at Feldhaus Memorial Chapel. Pastor Kevin Warren will be eulogist.

Mr. Jones will receive full military honors. The family will receive visitors one hour prior to service Sunday at the funeral home. He was born April 11, 1950, in Petersburg, Virginia, to the late Virginia L. Preston and Paul E. Jones.

A graduate of Motlow College, he retired from Eaton Corporation after 35 years of service, worked as a correctional officer for the next ten years at the Juvenile Detention Center, and a security guard at Tennova Healthcare Shelbyville. A veteran of the United States Army, he joined in 1975. He held membership in Christian Chapel Church.

Survivors include two daughters, Angela Singleton (Shawn Watson) and Rhonda Jones; nineteen grandchildren; four great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.
