Obituary for Martha Jane Brandon Tenpenny Mrs. Martha Jane Brandon Tenpenny, age 71, of Beech Grove, passed away Wednesday, June 13, 2018. Funeral services will be 3 PM Saturday, June 16, 2018, at Feldhaus Memorial Chapel. Pastor Byron Ash will officiate, with burial to follow in Beech Grove Cemetery.

The family will receive visitors 4-8 PM Friday at the funeral home. She was born October 21, 1946, in Beech Grove, to the late Jess and Ethel McCullough Brandon. Jane was retired from Shelbyville Pencil Company, an avid fan of Tennessee Walking Horses, and loved working on the family farm.

She was of the Baptist faith. She married Hoyte Tenpenny in September 1975 and enjoyed many happy years together until his passing in 2010. Also preceding her in death were two brothers, Jess Frank Brandon and Ray Brandon, and a sister, Juanita Drake.

Survivors include two sisters, Betty Reed, of Beech Grove and Doris (James) Baird, of Owensboro, Kentucky; a brother, Coleman (Margaret) Brandon, of Fairfield; a special friend, Will Daniel; nieces, Teresa Drake and Lisa Brandon; nephews, David Brandon and Michael Reed; five great nephews and one great niece.
