Ronald E. O’Dell, 72, of Brazil, passed away at Roudebush VA Medical Center in Indianapolis, on May 10, 2018. Ron was born in Brazil, Indiana on May 15, 1945, the son of Charles and Kathryn (Bridgewater) O’Dell. He graduated from Brazil High School with the class of 1964.

Ron served his country in the United States Army, in Korea, and was honorably discharged in 1967. Ron worked as a Slitter Operator at Hercules which then became A.E.T. He retired from A.E.T. after more than 30 years… Read More » of service.

Ron loved raising Angus cattle, watching old western movies and Cubs and Yankees baseball games, spending time outdoors, making wood crafts, and especially attending the grandkids sporting events. Ron was preceded in death by his parents: Charles and Kathryn O’Dell; siblings: Gary O’Dell and Milton O’Dell; father-in-law Pete Williams. Survivors include his wife Christy O’Dell; daughters: Kimberly Dove (Bill Mitchell) of Brazil, Ronda O’Dell – Garrard and husband Phil of Terre Haute, Jodi O’Dell of Rosedale; grandchildren: Breana Dove, Britney Dove, Alexandra Crabb, and Mickenzie Crabb; a sister: Sherry (O’Dell) Long and Carolyn Tisdale; mother-in-law Eileen Williams of Brazil; as well as several nieces, nephews, and extended family members and friends.

Visitation will be at Lawson – Miller Chapel, 1702 E. National Ave. Brazil, Indiana 47834, on Wednesday, May 16, 2018 from 4-8pm. Services will be on Thursday at 11:00am with Pastor Richard Piatt officiating.

Burial will, with military honors, follow at Bee Ridge Cemetery.
