Obituary for Ronald Ecklund Ronald E. Ecklund, 66, of Las Cruces, NM passed away on July 25, 2018 after an extended illness and a brief stay at La Posada Mesilla Valley Hospice, in Las Cruces. Ronald was born in Princeton, IL to Norma and Robert Ecklund on August 25, 1951. He worked several years after high school, most notably as a skilled mechanic and considered Las Cruces home.

Ron was a quiet, private person who had an analytical mind, cherished his pet dog Sara and enjoyed race cars. At his request, cremation has taken place, and his remains will be interned at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens Cemetery. The family is respecting his wishes to hold no services.
