Obituary for Eugene Garcia Eugene Garcia was born on April 17, 1939, he left this world on October 10, 2018. He is preceded in death by his parents, Henry Garcia and Elvira Garcia, great grandchildren, Christopher Eugene Garcia and Mario Sanchez. He is survived by his wife Cecilia Garcia, sons, Larry Garcia, Leroy Garcia, James Garcia, and daughter, Bernice Smith, his 10 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.

Also left to cherish his memory are his brothers, Lloyd Garcia, Dennis Garcia, sisters, Ramona Candelaria and Eva Garcia. He retired from the moving business after 66 years. Eugene taught basketball and coached baseball in La Luz but played in the Tularosa Baseball League.

He loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting. Eugene was a great man with a love of laughter and joke telling. Visitation will be held at 8:30 am, Saturday, October 13, 2018 at Our Lady of the Light Catholic Church in La Luz, New Mexico, a Rosary will immediately follow at 9:30 am and Funeral Mass at 10:00 am.

Burial will follow at Our Lady of the Light Catholic Cemetery in La Luz, New Mexico. Serving as pallbearers will be Bubba, Steve, Lawrence, Ray, Johnny, and Ramon. Honorary Pallbearers will be Stella, Clara, Art, Loli, Rudy, Edward, Ruben, Jimmy, Sammy, and all the grandkids and great grandkids.
