Obituary for Maria Delia Frias (Frias) Maria “Mary” Delia Frias passed away on Thursday, November 15, 2018 at University Medical Center in El Paso, TX at the age of 85. Mary was born on Saturday June 3, 1933 in Arrey, NM to Frank and Petra Frias. Mary attended school through the 8th grade.

She worked on the family farm until she pursued her career in retail. She worked at McCrory, McLellan and Green as a bookkeeper and worked her way up to a store manager. She managed stores in Albuquerque, Grants and Farmington, NM and Midland, TX.

Albuquerque, NM was her home for several years until settling in Las Cruces, NM. Mary was a loving aunt and dedicated her life to caring for her mother and sister until their death. She then spent the later years of her life working as a senior companion.

Mary is survived by her brother Jesus Frias of Albuquerque, NM. She is preceded in death by her parents Frank and Petra Frias of Arrey, NM; brother Jose Antonio Frias of Albuquerque, NM; sisters Florentina Bencomo and Lenore Frias of Las Cruces, NM. A rosary will be recited on Friday, November 30, 2018 at 12:00pm at Getz Funeral Home located at 1410 E. Bowman Ave Las Cruces, NM 88001 followed by the funeral Mass at 2:00pm at Holy Cross Catholic Church located at 1327 N Miranda St, Las Cruces, NM 88005.
