Obituary for Ronnie Eugene Nelson Ronnie E. Nelson, 57, of Bradford, died Wednesday, July 18, 2018 at his home. He was born October 11, 1960 in Kokomo, Indiana to the late Pat Ramerez and Joyce Saylors. Ronnie was a brick mason for many years and very active in the sports activities with his children.
He could be found in the stands at all the ball games rooting for the team and giving his advice to the players. Ronnie was a great husband, father and grandfather. He will be greatly missed.
So many things to say about how wonderful you were. You were one of a kind, strong and brave, creative, unique, inspiring, encouraging, helpful, loving, funny … oh, so funny. God graced you with the ability to show love to the fullest.
The kind of love that’s bullet proof. It felt so good to be loved by you. To be known by you.
Your skills were so amazing. Your hands were so creative. So strong, but yet so tender and kind.
So loving. So unique. Your smile was so bright, even on the last day on Earth, we could still see the dimple on your beautiful face.
Even laying there, we still felt secure. We just wanted to be near you, to be close by you, because there love was. You see, you did this oh so well.
You kept us safe and protected us. Always. Thank you, Dad.
God blessed you with the most beautiful brown eyes. We could do no wrong in those eyes. When we messed up, we could start over and try again.
You made it easy. You were so accepting. You were our biggest fan.
Thank you, Dad, for going to all our ball games. Thanks for thinking we could do anything and everything. You always had the ability to cheer us up when we were down.
You were a walking testimony to the healing powers of our Lord Jesus Christ with that new kidney he blessed you with. Your sayings like “No body hurt”, “I got my eye on you”, “hickory nut”, “I love you”, and “don’t cry” will never be forgotten. Our nicknames you gave us will endure.
Your high fives and “you can do it” will never leave our hearts. You’ll always be a part of us. You were a believer in our Lord Jesus Christ and one day soon, there won’t be all this missing you, because we’ll be with you.
Safe and sound again. We all love you daddy. You’re with Jesus now.
Rest in peace. He is survived by his wife, Pamala Nelson; children, Wesley Hodges, Jonathan Hodges (Ashley), Joshua Nelson (Andrea), Zachery Nelson (Brittany), Shawn Nelson (Carisse) and Tamra Nelson Hartford (Nathan); 10 grandchildren, Kaleb, Jonathan, Reliegh, Gabe, Logan, Noah, Jonah, Andrew, Hawkins, Natalie, Madison, Emma and Katy.
