Rosemarie T Carroll, July 12, 1937 — January 28, 2019

Rosemarie T Carroll, 81 of Old Bridge, New Jersey passed away on Monday, January 28, 2019, at Bayshore Community Hospital in Holmdel, New Jersey. Born Monday, July 12, 1937 in Brooklyn , New York, to the late Vincent and Mary Castellano. Rosemarie was raised in Queens, and after graduating High School went on to attend St. Catherine’s Nursing School where she received her degree as a Registered Nurse.

In 1961 Rosemarie would marry the love of her life, James Carroll. The couple would move to New Jersey and settle down in Old Bridge. Rosemarie worked as a nurse, and was an RN at St. Peter’s Hospital in New Brunswick until she dedicated all of her time to raising her family.

While in Old Bridge Rosemarie was active in her children’s lives. She was a PTA President at St. Ambrose School where her children attended. She volunteered there at Bingo, and was also a Eucharistic Minister.

Rosemarie was also an active volunteer with Meals on Wheels, and was involved in the opening of the Old Bridge Hospital, putting together its first gift shop. In her spare time Rosemarie enjoyed shopping; but more than anything she loved spending time with her family, her loving children and cherished grandchildren. She will be missed by all those that were blessed to have had her in their lives.

Rosemarie was predeceased by her beloved husband of 22 years, James, by her cherished son Matthew, and by her caring sisters, Grace Verdirame, Marion Longaro, Philomena ‘Fanny’ Bosso, and Frances Soden Stone. Rosemarie is survived by her loving children, James Carroll and his wife Jessica, Elizabeth Griffin and her husband Doug, and Kevin Carroll, by her cherished grandsons, Ryan and Dylan, and by her caring sister, Jeanette Barkey Jones. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday February 9, 2019, at 10:30 AM, at St. Ambrose Church, Old Bridge.
