Rosemary J. Reitz, 73, residing in Fort Wayne, Indiana, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 22, 2018 at her residence. She was born on June 6, 1945 to William A. and Jewel M. (Tyring) Reitz, both of whom preceded her in death. Rosemary is survived by her sisters, Jewel (Geoff) England of Menifee, CA, and Patricia (Stanley) Pecora of Bradford, PA; her brother, William “Bill” (Kathy) Reitz of Downingtown, PA; and several nieces and nephews.

Rosemary earned a master’s degree in education from St. Francis College in Fort Wayne. She was employed as an elementary school teacher for the Fort Wayne school district. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00am on Thursday, June 28, 2018 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 226 N. Hill Street, South Bend.

Rev. Daniel Ponisciak, C.S.C., will officiate. Graveside services and burial will follow at Highland Cemetery in South Bend.

Friends may visit with the family from 6:00-8:00pm on Wednesday, June 27 at Palmer Funeral Home—Hickey Chapel, 17131 Cleveland Road, South Bend, with additional visitation one hour prior to Mass on Thursday. Expressions of sympathy in memory of Rosemary may be donated to Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, 4914 S. Hanna Street, Fort Wayne, IN 46802; or SCAN, Inc.
