Obituary of Roy Darrah Roy L. Darrah, 86, from Marion, went home to be with the Lord at 6:46 p.m. on Monday, January 14, 2019, at Wesleyan Health Care Center in Marion. He was born on January 26, 1932, to Joseph and Osa Mae (Hiatt) Darrah. On December 14, 1950, he married his loving wife, Mary Duncan, and she survives.

Roy retired from General Motors in 2006, where he worked for 50 years in skill trades. While there, he also received his GED. He was a member of the Masons and Shriners, a Boy Scout Leader, and attended Grace Community Church.

He enjoyed woodworking, as well as spending time with his dogs, Pierre and Candy. Most of all, he cherished the times he could spend with his wife and family, especially when they traveled and camped throughout the United States. He will be missed by his wife of 68 years, Mary Darrah, Marion; sons, Tony (Sharon) Darrah, Rob Darrah and Nita (the mother of his children and to whom he was married for 22 years), and David Darrah; grandchildren, Lee Darrah, Amy (Brian Sparks) Darrah, Judy (Bill Baker) Sollars, Jimmie (Ashley) Bragg, Dylan Darrah, and Karis Darrah; and great-grandchildren, Andrew Darrah, Emily Darrah, Jackson Sparks, Sawyer Sparks, Brandy Thompson, Jennifer Sollars, Brandon Sollars, Janessa Bragg, Jarren Bragg, Brice Bragg, Jayden Bragg, Brayden Bragg, Zayden Bragg, and Alibay Darrah.

Also preceding him in death were fourteen brothers and sisters. The family will receive visitors from 12 noon to 2 p.m. with Roy’s funeral service beginning at 2 p.m. on Monday, January 21, 2019, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave. , Marion, IN.

Rev. Dr. Tom Mansbarger will be officiating with burial following at Gardens of Memory. Memorial contributions may be directed to Parkinson’s Awareness Association of Central Indiana, Inc., 4755 Kingsway Dr., Ste.
