Obituary of Rosemary Weaver Rosemary Weaver, 71, Marion, passed away at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, February 23, 2019, in her home. She was born in Chicago, Illinois, on December 11, 1947, to Larry L. and Jewel L. (Bright) Levi. A graduate of Marion High School’s Class of 1966, Rosemary continued her post-secondary education through Marion General Hospital and received her associate’s degree in nursing in 1968.

She was an LPN at both IU Methodist Hospital and Marion General Hospital throughout her career. Rosemary enjoyed crocheting, reading, and growing flowers. She also enjoyed spending time with and cooking for her family.

She especially cherished her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Rosemary will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, and sister who loved talking with everyone. She is survived by her lifelong companion, Donald “Oogie” Weaver; children: Yolanda Weaver-Neal, Marion, and Donald Weaver, Jr., Pendleton; grandchildren: Derris Weaver, Sierra Weaver, Jovan Weaver, Lamaya Boyd, and Lala Boyd; great-grandchildren: Jasmine Weaver, Kamiree Weaver, Kaysen Weaver, and Julian Weaver; sisters: Marjorie (Ivory Joe) Jackson and Barbara (late Lamar) Reevers; brother, Michael (Carolyn) Levi; half-brother, Larry Levi, Jr.; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends; and her best friend, Shirley Levi.

Preceding her in death were her parents; three brothers: Alexander, Phillip, and Johnny; sister, Sharon Swoop; and special aunt, Barbara Greer. The family will receive visitors from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. with Rosemary’s funeral service beginning at 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 2, 2019, at St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church, 1204 W. 14th St., Marion, IN. Burial will take place at Grant Memorial Park.
