Obituary of William Mills William Thomas “Tom” Mills June 18, 1941 ~ February 19, 2019 William Thomas “Tom” Mills, 77 1/3, Gas City, Indiana, died on February 19, 2019 at Marion General Hospital. He was born on June 18, 1941, to the late Edward and Maude (Drollinger) Mills in Jonesboro. He married Marjorie “Doatzie” Eakins on January 27, 1962, and she survives.

Tom was a veteran of the US Army. After the military, he was self-employed as a farmer who loved the outdoors and spending time with his family. Tom was also a foster dad for over 20 years to many.

He loved spreading the word of Jesus. He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Marjorie “Doatzie”; his sister, Tobby (Jim) Yount, FL and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Tom was preceded in death by his 2 daughters; brothers, Chuck, Fred, Kenny, Walter, and Ted; as well as 7 sisters, Kate, Lucille, Violet, Mary, Betty, Bonnie Jean, and Ruth.

The family will receive visitors from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Monday, February 25, 2019 at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, Storey Chapel 400 E. Main St., Gas City, IN 46933. The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, February 26, 2019 at the funeral home. Burial will follow immediately at Riverside Cemetery in Gas City.
