Obituary of Marvin Baumbaugh Marvin L. “Bim” Baumbaugh, 92, Marion, passed away at 12:14 p.m. on Tuesday, January 29, 2019, at Brookdale Senior Living in Marion. Born in Marion on November 19, 1926, Marvin was the son of the late Elmer and Mary (Berry) Baumbaugh. He married his loving bride, Rida Jane Howard, on January 12, 1952, and she preceded him in death on January 4, 1997.

Marvin was a lifelong resident of Marion and a World War II veteran of the U.S. Army. He was the owner of Marion Upholstering Company for over 50 years. He was Past President and the longest standing member of the Marion Aero Club.

He was also a member and Past Exalted Ruler of Marion Elks Lodge #195. He loved spending his summers at his vacation home on Lake Tippecanoe with his family. He enjoyed golfing and wintering in Fort Myers, Florida.

He also never passed up an opportunity to play cards and games with his family and friends. He is survived by his sons: Bruce (Kathy) Baumbaugh, Marion; Cregg (Jerilyn) Baumbaugh, Kentfield, CA; and Gregg (Betsy) Baumbaugh, Noblesville; grandchildren, Jonett Williams, Nick Baumbaugh, Elizabeth “Betsy” Bowers, Anna Belle Snider, Bret Baumbaugh, Ruby Baumbaugh, and Lacy Baumbaugh; and 13 great-grandchildren. The family will receive visitors from 12 noon to 1 p.m. on Monday, March 4, 2019, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave.

, Marion, IN. Following the time of visitation, Marvin’s funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will take place at Marion National Cemetery.
