Ruby Irene Hershberger, 82, of Meyersdale, PA, died Sunday, November 25, 2018, at Rest Assured, Meyersdale. Born August 17, 1936, in Elk Lick Twp. , PA, she was the daughter of the late Ray and Ethel (Pritts) Wahl, Sr

She was also preceded in death by her husband, H. Paul Hershberger, May 5, 2014; one infant son; one brother, Ray Wahl, Jr.; sister and brother-in-law, Lois and Don Decker; one nephew, David Decker; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Lloyd and Josephine Imler; and sister-in-law, Pearl Kennell. Mrs. Hershberger was a teacher’s aide for the Meyersdale Area High School for 25 years. She was a member of the St. Paul Wilhelm Church.

She is survived by one son, Steven (Jennifer) Hershberger, Meyersdale; one daughter, Debra (Butch) Dunmeyer, Meyersdale; two brothers, Harold (Sally) Wahl, Somerset, PA; Ronald Wahl, Kensington, MD; one sister, Wanda Wahl, Lancaster, PA; sister-in-law, Janet Wahl, Salisbury; sisters and brothers-in-law, Don and Helen Yoder, Meyersdale; Charles and Paula Hershberger, Lewistown, PA; three grandchildren, Ryan Dunmeyer, Megan (Darian) Ervin, and Harvey Jacob Hershberger; two great-granddaughters, Lilly Dunmeyer and Addisyn Ervin. Friends will be received at the Newman Funeral Home, Inc., 9168 Mason-Dixon Hwy. , Salisbury, PA, on Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted in the St. Paul Wilhelm Church on Thursday, November 29, 2018, at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Tom Holliday officiating.

Friends may call at the church one hour prior to the services. Interment will be in the St. Paul Wilhelm Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy may be directed to the St. Paul Wilhelm Church, 531 Rock Station Rd.
