Shirley Ann Fisher, 78, of Smithfield, PA, died Thursday, November 22, 2018, at her residence. Born October 12, 1940, in Friendsville, MD, she was the daughter of the late George and Sarah (Fosbrink) Thomas. She was also preceded in death by one son, Roland Fisher; four brothers, Samuel, Burgitt, Richard and Jack Thomas; two sisters, Darlene Sisler and Doris Jeannine Thomas.

Mrs. Fisher was co-owner of Addison Farm and Industrial Equipment, Addison, PA and former owner of Topos Restaurant, Markleysburg, PA. She was a member of the Sand Spring Church of God. She is survived by her husband, Roland “Pete” Fisher; one son, George Fisher, Markleysburg; one daughter, Jeannine Snodgrass, Reading, PA; two brothers, Lowell Thomas and Kenneth Thomas, both of Friendsville; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Friends will be received at the Newman Funeral Homes, P.A., 943 Second Ave. , Friendsville, MD, on Monday from 7-9 p.m. and Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted in the Sand Spring Church of God on Wednesday, November 28, 2018, at 1:00 p.m. with the Rev. Dana Umbel officiating.

Friends may call at the church one hour prior to the services. Interment will be in the Sand Spring Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy may be directed to the Sand Spring Church of God, 1030 Fearer Rd.
