Barbara Jean Bowman, 76, of Oakland, MD, passed away on Tuesday, October 30, 2018, at Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown, WV. Born July 20, 1942, in Terra Alta, WV, she was the daughter of the late Charles Wesley and Maxine Virginia (DeWitt) Baker, Sr She was also preceded in death by one brother, David Allen Baker; one sister, Carolyn Virginia Tasker.

Barbara was a homemaker. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, knitting, and taking care of her family. In addition to her husband, Junior Woodrow Bowman, she is survived by two sons, Sonny Ray Bowman and wife, Darinda, Ridgley, WV; Charles Woodrow Bowman and wife, Chrissy, Swanton, MD; three daughters, Wanda Lee Rice, Oakland; Nancy June “Junie” Corby and husband, Lonnie, Lawrenceville, GA; Barbara Ann Stiles and husband, Glen, Baltimore, MD; one brother, Charles Wesley “June Bug” Baker, Jr., Oakland; three sisters, Jetta Mae Ashby, Mt.

Lake Park, MD; Dorothy Ann Moryer, OH; Nancy Elaine Hershman, Oakland; thirteen grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. At Barbara’s request, she will be cremated. No services are planned at this time.
