Miriam Marie Brenneman, 87, of Grantsville, MD and formerly of Accident, MD, died Saturday, December 15, 2018, at Goodwill Mennonite Home, Grantsville. Born May 19, 1931, in Accident, she was the daughter of the late Ernest and Amelia (Schrock) Brenneman. She was also preceded in death by five brothers, Carl, William “Bud”, Alvin, Ernest, Jr. and Samuel Brenneman; seven sisters, Alice Brenneman, Leona Beitzel, Rhoda Miller, Arlene Zook, Olive Puffinburg, Lois Brenneman and Ruth Headings.

Miriam was a retired L.P.N. from Garrett Regional Medical Center, a House Mother for a Children’s Home in Kansas City, KS and a secretary for Miller Brothers in Springs, PA. She was a member of the Glade Mennonite Church, where she taught Sunday school and Bible school. She is survived by two brothers, Elmer Brenneman, Eureka, MT; Allen Brenneman, Springs; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received at the Newman Funeral Homes, P.A., 179 Miller St., Grantsville, on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted at the Glade Mennonite Church, Saturday, December 22, 2018, at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Johnny Martin officiating. Friends may call at the church one hour prior to the services. Interment will be in the Glade Mennonite Cemetery.
