Obituary of Russell Edward Sharon Russell Edward Sharon, 68, of Bay City, our determined, kind, loyal, and fun-loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend was born into eternal life on September 23, 2018 at Brookdale-Bay City. Russ was born in Bay City on March 30, 1950, the son of the late, Louis and Agnes (Bates) Sharon. Russ graduated from Central High School and went on to proudly serve in the United States Navy.

He served from 1969-1972 on the USS Forestal Air Craft Carrier, including a tour of the Mediterranean. Following the Navy, Russ started working at Consumers Energy in Esville, where he retired from in 2008. On June 1, 1972, Russ married the former, Kathy Moggo, the mother of his children.

Throughout life, Russ enjoyed camping with his family in Gladwin, reading, golfing, playing cards, board games, and pool. On March 19, 2004, Russ married the former Jamie Schultz, who survives. Russ leaves to cherish his memory, his three children, Pamela (Edward) Bromberg, Jason Sharon, and Melissa (Shawn Leach) Sharon; step-children, Shanon Schultz and Michael Schultz.

He was the loving grandpa of Kimberly Leach, Casey (Carlos) Deleon, Ainsley Bromberg, Quentin Sharon, Bentley, Savannah, Kaelynn, Jaxson, Brook-lynn, Logan, Michaela, Amaya, and Alexis. Along with his siblings, Sr. Sandra Sharon and Victor John (Karen) Sharon. In addition to his parents, Russ was welcomed home to heaven by his siblings, Dorothy Schank, Donald Sharon, Patricia Sierra, and Barbara Babiez.

Russ’ family will be present to receive visitors on Saturday, September 29, 2018 from 4:00 PM until the time of his 6:30 PM Tribute Ceremony at Skorupski Family Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 955 N. Pine Rd. , Hampton Twp. The Right of Committal will be held privately in Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly, Michigan.
