Obituary of Georgia Jo (Trischler) MacFarlane Georgia Jo (Trischler) MacFarlane, 66, of Fairgrove, passed away peacefully in her home on Saturday, October 13, 2018 with her family by her side, after a five-month battle with cancer. Georgia was born in Unionville on November 7, 1951 to Joseph and Leona (Thomas) Trischler. She was a 1969 graduate of USA High School and a member of the marching band.
On July 1, 1972, she married Thomas Allen MacFarlane of Fairgrove. She was a woman of great talents and abilities. Along with her husband Tom, they started a trucking and excavating company in 1976.
As their children grew, they encouraged them to become involved in the business. She was the owner of Classy Cars, established in 2013, an electric car sales business that she was incredibly passionate about, selling cars both nationally and internationally. She looked forward to spending time with her grandchildren, to whom she was affectionately known as “Gramma Geo”.
Georgia took pleasure in teaching them new skills, while instilling a strong work ethic. Georgia was an adventurous world traveler, whether it be riding along with Tom on their Harley, or cruising the waters with her mother. She was an avid musician and loved playing her piano, along with several other musical instruments.
Georgia shared her love of music through teaching. She leaves behind her four children, Wade MacFarlane (Deb Goslin), Tracy (David) Freed, Jed MacFarlane, Nathan MacFarlane, and another they embrace as their own, Shannon Dominowski; grandchildren, Casey and Bryce MacFarlane, Kyle Richard, Charlie Freed, Molly (Josh) Freedman, Matthew Freed, Jaxon Newcomb; great-grandchildren, Daisy and Norah Freedman; mother, Leona Lacours; siblings, Jane DeGroat, Michael (Deborah) Trischler, Gloria Trischler, Betty Trischler, Joseph (Victoria) Trischler; sisters-in-law, Carol Jacoby and Gloria MacFarlane; brother-in-law, Fabian Martinez, many nieces, nephews, cousins, and faithful friend, Pat MacConnel. In addition to her father, Georgia was preceded in death by her husband, Tom; brothers-in-law, Gerald DeGroat, Richard Jacoby, and James MacFarlane; niece, Lulu Martinez, and Baby Trischler.
Georgia lived a spirit-filled life, dedicated to obeying god, looking to Him for spiritual direction every day of her life. Her love of the Lord led her to become a pastor and minister at Ministry of the Word for over 40 years. She lived an exhilarating, invigorating, exciting, gripping, powerful, electrifying, accomplished, adventurously gratifying life and had few regrets.
She will be greatly missed.
