Obituary of Evelyn Emmons Evelyn (Wood) Emmons, 84, of Mayville, formerly of Bay City, our loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend was born into eternal life on the morning of October 12, 2018. Evelyn was born in Bay City on April 25, 1934, the daughter of the late Frank and Marie (Rettelle) Wood. On November 3, 1951, Evelyn married Edward Emmons, sadly Edward predeceased Evelyn on September 13, 2016.

She retired from General Motors and enjoyed to crochet, read, and take rides to her favorite spots up north. Evelyn leaves to cherish her memory, her children, Jolene (Larry) Carson and Edward Emmons Jr.; grandchildren, Matthew Gregus (Fiancé Terry Lawson), Ron (Mary) Garbulinski II, Shaun (Kiersten) Garbulinski, Kaitlyn Carson, Jordan Jacubczak, Andrew Taylor Roe, Heather Emmons, and Sarai Jacubczak; sister, Joyce Steinhauer; sister-in-law, Rachel Henderson, along with many nieces, nephews, and friends. In addition to her parents and husband, Evelyn was welcomed home to heaven by her daughter, Janine Emmons and granddaughter, Nicole Johnson.

Private arrangements have been entrusted to Skorupski Family Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 955 N. Pine Rd. , Hampton Twp. The family wishes to extend a heartfelt thank you to the entire team of McLaren Hospice in Davison.
