Russell Kay Port, 76, passed away February 27, 2019 in South Ogden, UT at Ogden Regional Medical Center. He was born February 22, 1943 to Garnett Russell and Ora Gene Poulton Port. He married Glenda Floy Palmer on September 8, 1967 in Mantua, UT and their marriage was later solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple on June 11, 1973.

Russell grew up in Wenatchee, WA where he attended HB Ellison Jr High School and graduated from Wenatchee High School. He served in the United States Navy for 6 years. He went on to further his education by attending Utah State University taking courses in computer science, business, and electronics.

He worked at Hill Air Force Base as a Software Engineer for 37 years. Russell was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served in many capacities in the church.

He loved music and enjoyed playing the guitar and drums. Oil painting became a hobby in his later years. He loved spending time with his family, camping and spending time outdoors.

He is survived by his loving wife Glenda; children: Kimberly Mae Droubay (Greg), Tina Dawn Duerden (Scott), Travis Glen Port (Jerilyn), Shannon Kay Robbins, Cindy Pugsley (Tyler); 20 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; siblings: Tony Port (Sharon), Gaya Butterfield (Steve), Vicki Moon and Samuel Port. He was preceded in death by his parents; son: K. Shane Port and brothers: Hyrum Barry Port and Scott Port. Funeral Services will be held Monday, March 4, 2019 at 1:00 pm at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Brigham City 4th Ward Chapel, 25 North 300 East, Brigham City, UT.

Viewings will be held Sunday from 6:00 – 7:30 pm at Myers Mortuary 205 South 100 East, Brigham City, UT and at the Church on Monday from 11:30 am – 12:30 pm prior to services. Interment will follow in the Mantua City Cemetery where military honors will be accorded.
