Ruth’s Obituary Ruth A. Uffelman, age 92, of Ocean View, DE formerly of New Oxford, PA passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 15, 2019 while surrounded by her loving family at Beebe Healthcare in Lewes, DE. Ruth was born in Littlestown, PA on January 18, 1926 daughter of the late William James and the late Mary (Hawk) James. She and her husband were the previous owners of the Locust Inn which is now called the Inn 94 in New Oxford, PA.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph “Dan” Uffelman and a daughter-in-law, Rosalie Uffelman. Ruth is survived by her five children, Michael A. Uffelman of Elma, WA, Penny Orndorff and her husband, Skip of Ocean View, DE, Pam Poist and her husband, Jim of New Oxford, PA, Daniel C. Uffelman and his wife, Gail of Milton, DE and Pat Ammon and her husband, Jeff of Frankford, DE. She is also survived by seven grandchildren; eight great grandchildren and seven great great grandchildren.

Services and burial are private.
