Obituary for Ruth Jones Ruth Jones, 93, of Ft. Branch, Indiana passed away on June 2, 2018 at Paoli Health and Living Community. Ruth Was born January 5, 1925 to Wesley Roy McIlree and Harriett Dearing.

She graduated from Ft. Branch High School in 1943. She married Loren “Bud” Jones on November 23, 1944 who precedes her in death.

Ruth graduated from Oakland City University and received her master’s from USI. She taught kindergarten at Ft. Branch for 3 years, then taught 6th and 3rd grade at Owensville for 28 years.

She was a member of Delta Kappa Gamma Sorority. Ruth was a member of Bethlehem General Baptist Church, where she was an organist for 50 years. Including her parents and husband, Ruth was preceded in death by her daughter Karen, sister Virginia Collins, and nephew Daniel Huey.

She is survived by Tammy Neidigh, son Wesley Dicus; grandson Brandon Dicus; great grandchildren Waylon, Lane, Kirstin, and Kali Dicus; sisters Pauline Dierlam of Princeton, Alice (John) Huey of Kinai, Alaska; niece Maureen Milner of Brimingham, Englad; and several nephews and cousins. Holders Funeral Home is honored and privileged to be entrusted with the care of Mrs. Jones. Funeral services will be held 11:00a Tuesday, June 5, 2018 at Holders Funeral Home, 319 S. Main St. Owensville, IN with Bob Douglas officiating with burial at Owensville Cemetery.
