Ruth’s Obituary Mrs. Ruth Walton Wilson, 88, of Dearr Drive, died Sunday, May 12 at High Point Medical Center. A funeral service will be held at 3pm on Wednesday, May 15th at Grace Journey Church by the Rev. Gerald Shean.

Burial will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 1:30pm to 3:00pm prior to the service at the church. Mrs. Wilson was born September 22, 1930 in Columbus County to Liston Arthur Walton and Marjorie McKinnon Walton.

Her husband, Herbert Veamon Wilson; son, David Wilson; grandchildren, Phillip Edwards and Ashley Edwards; and great-grandchild, Harper Edwards preceded her in death. She is survived by her son, Tracy Lee Wilson (Sharon) of Lexington; her daughters, Edith Edwards of Trinity, Jo Ann Walser (David) of Lexington, Frances Lanier (Charles) of Trinity, Margie Dotson (Clifford) of Lexington and Patsy Swicegood (Bobby) of Jackson Springs; daughter-in-law, Ronda Wilson; her sister, Fannie Hunt of Lexington; her grandchildren, Mitchell Wilson, Michael Wilson, Marcus Wilson (Stephanie), Jason Edwards wife Heather, Charles Walser, Scott Walser (Cheryl), Deibra Louya, Heather Dotson, Kristi Whitesell (Justin), Joshua Swicegood, Brian Wilson (Tabitha) and Jennifer Casey (Kelby); and her great grandchildren, Christian Burris Wilson, Hayden Wilson, Lenna and Anna Mae Wilson, Kaylee Edwards, Emerson Edwards and Jaxson Edwards, Dallas, Zebulon, and Aidan Walser, Lexi Bodford, Hope Louya, Carter Dorley, Alexander Dorley, Landann Swicegood, Odin Whitesell, Lillian, Makenley, Camden and Aubrey Wilson.
