Obituary for Sanford Lawrence Bass Sanford Lawrence Bass, 77, of Chaffee, Missouri died Saturday, December 22, 2018 at his home. He was born February 18, 1941 in Oxnard, California to Claude and Mary Bass. He and Mary J. Haynes were married in 1987 at Sikeston, Missouri.

He worked in the trucking industry for over 50 years, where he worked over 25 of those years for Pullen Brothers in Sikeston. He worked for Schott Trucking Company in Chaffee for 2 years before retiring in 2016. Survivors include his wife, Mary J. Bass of Morley, Missouri; five daughters, Lisa (Doug) Wilson of Morley, Missouri, Andrea (Robert) Kirk of Clute, Texas, Mary (Robert) Kunke of Surfside, Texas, Sandy Smith of Atlanta, Georgia and June Rison of Louisville, Kentucky; three sons, David M. (Gina) Bass of Chaffee, Missouri, John A. (Kelly) Haynes of Jones Creek, Texas and Jason Haynes of Morley, Missouri; one sister, Kathy of Cleveland, Ohio; one brother, William Bass of Florida; 27 grandchildren and 34 great-grandchildren.

Memorial service will be at 6:00 PM Friday, January 4, 2019 at Morley Baptist Church in Morley, Missouri with the Rev. David Thompson officiating Memorial contributions may be given to Ford & Sons Funeral Home to assist with funeral expenses.
