OBITUARY Santina “Santa” Giancola August 16, 1930 – December 21, 2018 Santina “Santa” Giancola, 88, of Wethersfield, beloved wife of Italo Giancola passed away peacefully on December 21, 2018 surrounded by her loving family. Santa was born on August 16, 1930 in San Paola, Solarino, Sicily and was the daughter of the late Salvatore and Salvatrice Calafiore. Santa worked for many years as a seamstress for the Corazzi/Dinninni Brothers, but her true passion was her family.

Santa was a talented seamstress, she also loved to crochet and knit, always surprising her family with beautiful pieces she would make for them. During the summer months Santa could be found working in her yard. She truly had a green thumb, her yard was a masterpiece of beautiful flowers.

She enjoyed cooking delicious meals and was especially happy when her table was surrounded with her family. As much as she loved her children, her grandchildren and great grandchildren were her pride and joy. In addition to her husband of 59 years, Santa leaves her children, Maria Graves and Domenico Giancola, her grandchildren Danielle Rechterman, Ashley Holmberg, Gabriela Graves, Cristina Giancola and Lucas Graves.

She also leaves her beloved great grandchildren, Jaden Rechterman, Morgan Holmberg, Taytum Collins, Charlotte Rechterman, Talia Collins, Olivia Rechterman, Teagan Collins and Autumn Rechterman. The family will receive relatives and friend on Friday, December 28, 2018 from 9 a.m to 12 p.m. followed by a Memorial Service at 12 noon at the D’Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Boulevard, Wethersfield. Entombment will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery, Hartford.
