Obituary for Sara Merchant Sara Lee Gillian Merchant, 89, resident of Saluda Nursing Center, widow of Robert Edwin “Ed” Merchant, died Sunday, April 15, 2018. Born in Saluda, she was the daughter of the late James S. and Cora Lee Rushton Gillian. She was a member of Shiloh United Methodist Church.

Surviving are her son Tony Merchant (Carolyn) of Saluda; son-in-law, Chester Chrisley of Saluda; grandchildren, Summer Harbin, Mark Chrisley, Steven Merchant, Paul Merchant, and Daniel Merchant; eight great grandchildren; and two great great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Vicki Chrisley and her son, Terry Merchant. A graveside service will be held immediately following the church service at 11:00 a.m. on Sunday, April 22, 2018 at Shiloh United Methodist Church Cemetery.
