Serena’s Obituary Serena Blurton, 72, of Tiptonville, died Saturday, February 23, 2019 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital. Born June 23, 1946, she was the daughter of the late Letcher T. and Christine Ellen Poole Bumpous. She was a minister at Powerhouse Church of God.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 26, 2019 in the Chapel of Curry Funeral Home officiated by Pastor Robert Davis with interment to follow in Fairview Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday, February 25th from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. She is survived by her husband, Murray Blurton; one daughter, Suzie McCay May (Stephen) of Brownsville; one son, James Robert McCay (Candice) of Biloxi, MS; four grandchildren, Flynt May, Braxton May, Colton McCay, J.R. McCay; six great-grandchildren, Elly Jean May, Caroline Ruth May, Brayden Thomas McCay, Analia King, Bradley King and Evan King; one sister, Loretta June Sisk of Murfreesboro; and one brother Glen Bumpous (Bonnie) of Frankfort, KY.

Brandon Matheny, Colton McCay, J.R. McCay, Tom Goodwin, Flynt May and Braxton May will serve as pallbearers. The family requests memorials be directed to Powerhouse Church of God, P.O. Box 154, Tiptonville, TN 38079. We are privileged and honored to serve the Blurton family.
