Obituary for Sharon Knight (McCombs) Sharon K. Knight, age 72, of Joplin, passed away on Sunday June 10, 2018, at a local nursing home, surrounded by family after a long illness. Sharon was born on November 2, 1945, in Webb City, Mo. , the daughter of the late Walter and Treva (Hall) McCombs.

She has lived in Joplin all of her life. She worked for the Joplin School District as a School Bus driver for almost 20 years. She enjoyed bowling, playing bingo, playing cards and going to the Casino, but most of all her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Sharon is survived by her husband of 53 years, Jim Knight whom she married on June 5, 1965. Additional survivors include three sons; Joe knight and his wife LaDonna, James Knight and his girlfriend Stella, and John Knight and his wife Patti all of Joplin, a daughter; Kathy Brust and her husband Bruce of Carthage, Mo. , a brother Bob McCombs and his wife Rosemary of Joplin.

Ten grandchildren and eighteen great grandchildren. A memorial visitation will be held Thursday Evening from 6 – 7 p.m. at the mortuary. Memorial contributions may be given to the national Parkinson’s Association in care of the mortuary.

Arrangements are under the direction of Mason-Woodard Mortuary & Crematory.
