Sharon R. Monroe, 68, of Sullivan, IN passed away Saturday, July 21, 2018 at Sullivan Co. Community Hospital. She was born in Terre Haute, Indiana February 5, 1950 the daughter of Elmond Copeland and Helen McKee Copeland. Sharon attended Merom United Methodist Church.

She was formerly employed at McDonalds in Terre Haute, IN. She was a loving grandma and loved watching her grandchildren play sports. She enjoyed reading, crocheting, and puzzels.

She was preceded in death by her parents, also a son, Michael Hughbanks, a step son, Timothy Monroe, and a sister, Donna McPike. Survivors include her husband of 24 years Larry Monroe whom she married on August 20, 1993, one son, Scott Hughbanks (Janis Cullison) of Sullivan, IN, two step sons, Rick Monroe of Terre Haute, IN and William Monroe (Lucy) of New Lebanon, IN, one daughter Angela Compton (Richard) of Terre Haute, IN, a brother John Allen of Terre Haute, IN, three sisters Sondra Bramble (Jerry) of Terre Haute, Janice Stoner of Terre Haute, Byrdi Brown (Mike) of Terre Haute, IN, thirteen grandchildren, and five great grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 1:00PM Wednesday, July 25, 2018 at Brust Funeral Home in Sullivan, IN with Pastor Erich Blevins officiating.

Visitation will be from 11:00AM until services Wednesday. There will be no graveside service.
