Singletary, 74, died Wednesday, December 5, 2018. Family will greet friends from 3:00PM to 5:00PM , on Saturday, December 8, 2018, at Rooks Funeral Home, 109 West White Road in Byron. Service will be held at 2:00PM on Sunday, December 9, 2018, at Byron United Methodist Church, 103 West Heritage Boulevard in Byron, with Rev.

Tom Carruth officiating. Burial will follow in Oaklawn Cemetery. Born in Columbia, South Carolina, to the late Joseph I. Daniels and Essie Mae Player Daniels, Mrs. Singletary was a member of Byron United Methodist Church.

Children had always been the focus of her life and she enjoyed being a preschool teacher at Byron United Methodist Church Daycare and Byron Baptist Church Daycare. Survivors include her husband of 55 years, O. D. “Bud” Singletary; their chidren, Melanie D. Mason (Gary Dearborn) of Byron, Sherrie M. Childress (Brian) of Jacksonville, Florida, O. David Singletary Jr. of Covington, and Daniel S. Singletary of Warner Robins; grandchildren, Jeshua Singletary, Caleb Childress, Micah Childress, and Dylan Ratliff; one great grandchild; brother, Lewie Daniels of Lexington, South Carolina; sister, Connie Alewine of Lexington, South Carolina; and five nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to BUMC Preschool Program, P. O. Box 6, Byron, GA 31008.

Rooks Funeral Home in Byron is in charge of arrangements.
