Shepheard loved the outdoors and was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was a loving and precious husband.

Friends may visit with the family from 10:00 am until 2;00 pm Friday, January 4, 2018 at Edmonds Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 pm in the Chapel with Reverend Randy Ray officiating. Interment will be in St. Rest Cemetery near Dubach under the direction of Edmonds Funeral Home.

Mr. Hood is survived by his wife Ann Hood; step children, Chris Griffin, Donna Davis, Dean Ford and Jamie Ford; sister, Rikki Jones; special friends, Paul & Jo Anna Swint; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Preceding Mr. Hood in death were his parents, Gilbert Hood & Ella Lee (Singleton) Hood; brother, Wade Hood; son, Barton Hood; first wife, Faye R. Hood. Serving as pallbearers will be Lavelle Singleton, Jerry Singleton, Mike Colvin, Eddie Colvin, Murphy Chestnut, Bruce Thomas.
