Obituary for Shirley A. Snyder Shirley A. Snyder, 76, of Mount Joy and formerly of Wrightsville died June 25, 2018 at Peninsula Regional Medical Center, Salisbury, MD. She was the wife of the late Paul L. Snyder. Born May 24, 1942 in Myerstown, PA, she was the daughter of the late Woodrow and Betty (Witters) Birk.

Shirley worked at the Wrightsville Post Office. She operated the Wrightsville Inn with her husband for 25 years prior to his death in 2003. Shirley was a 1960 graduate of Eastern York High School and was involved with the Ladies Auxiliary of the American Legion.

She was an avid poker player and enjoyed spending time with her friends and family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Shirley is survived by her son, Robert K. Snyder and his wife, Annette of Wrightsville; daughter, Donna Sheetz and her husband, Bob of Mount Joy; 4 grandchildren, Keri Lavetan of Mount Joy, Amanda Snyder of Mountville, Abigail Snyder of Wrightsville, and Blake Lavetan of Wrightsville; 4 great grandchildren, Evan, Lucas, Layla, and Sydney Lavetan all of Wrightsville; and a brother, Bob and his wife, Darlene Miller of Feasterville, PA. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Betty Graham and a brother, Terry Miller.

A funeral service will be held Friday, June 29, 2018 at 7:00 p.m. at the Etzweiler Funeral Homes and Cremation Service, 700 Hellam Street, Wrightsville. A viewing will be held Friday from 6:00-7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice and Community Care, P.O. Box 4125, Lancaster, PA 17604.
