Shirley Croslin Bryant, affectionately also known as Mommite, passed peacefully July 25, 2018 at the age of 86. Born on a ranch in western Texas, November 17, 1931, Shirley spent the majority of her youth in the ranching community of Indio, CA. A stellar student and accomplished pianist, Shirley, graduating ahead of her class, attended Riverside Community College.

Married in Durango, CO, on July 26, 1950, Bill and Shirley shared a marriage lasting 57 years until his passing in 2007.

Shirley devoted her life to family, friends, and community. Married life brought Shirley and Bill to Orange County, where she taught Sunday school and served as guest pianist at the First Christian Churches in Fullerton, CA and Orange, CA. She also was an active member of The Order of the Eastern Star.

After moving the family to Redlands, CA, Shirley had the opportunity to return to the classroom, earning her paralegal certificate. She worked for as a paralegal for 2 criminal law firms before settling in Santa Maria, CA in 1981, her final home with Bill and family. Shirley is survived by her 3 children: Victoria, Gary, and Bob; 6 grandchildren: Jennifer, Michelle, Eric, Rob, Karl Anthony, and Nicole; and 10 great-grandchildren: Ian, Evangeline, William, Lucas, Abigail, Sophia, Barett, William Robert, Wesley, and Kennedie.
