A funeral procession will form at 9:00 AM on Thursday at the funeral home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday at 10:00 AM at Saint Joseph’s Church Shirley J. Heidcamp, 84, of Esopus Avenue Town of Ulster, died Friday morning January 18, 2019 at home.

Born September 9, 1934 in Staten Island, New York she was a daughter of the late Michael and Josephine Burns. Shirley was a school lunch server in the Kingston City School District for many years. Surviving are her son, Steven Heidcamp and his wife Jane of Red Hook; her daughter Leslie Mitchell of Town of Ulster; her grandchildren, Danielle, Timothy, Thomas and Mackensie Heidcamp, Earl Mitchell, Kylie Secor and her husband Adam; a great grandchild Edan Secor; her sisters, Catherine Felton of Connecticut and Rose Felton of Kingston; her dear friends Gloria Deyo, Marie Darling, Carl Modjeska, many nieces and nephews also survive.

Her husband Bernard Heidcamp died January 30, 2016. A sister, Lorraine Bigna also died previously. Expressions of sympathy in lieu of flowers may be made in the form of contributions to St. Jude’s Children Hospital 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis TN 38105 or to the Chambers School PTA 945 Morton Blvd, Kingston NY 12401 for the new playground.
