Obituary Sitta Wardlaw Rowe September 10, 1932 – March 12, 2019 Sitta Wardlaw Rowe was born September 10, 1932 in Del Rio, Texas, to Newt Jasper Wardlaw and Willie Alice Mapes Wardlaw. Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother “Moo” was called home to be with the Lord on March 12, 2019 in Boerne, Texas at the age of 86. Sitta had four children, six grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and countless friends.

She was an avid bowler and had a passion for cooking, and was famous for it around Del Rio! Nobody ever left her house hungry; she always cooked for an army! Sitta was a long time resident of Del Rio, TX, and moved to the Boerne area in 2016.

Sitta was preceded in death by her parents Newt and Alice Wardlaw; and Sister Billye Wardlaw Warner. She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Billy Rowe of Boerne, TX; sons Bob Rose and wife Lavone, of Lawrenceburg, KY; Bud Rose and wife Dana, of Odessa, TX; Raymond Rose and wife Marla, of New Iberia, LA; daughter Tisha Rowe of Boerne, TX. She is also survived by her brother Pat Wardlaw and wife Vickie, of Waco, TX.

; Grandchildren Heather & Robbie Richards of Odessa, TX; J.T. and April Rose of Boerne, TX; Dustin and Krissy Rose of Odessa, TX; West Rose of Boerne, TX; Bill and Morgan Rose of Lawrenceburg, KY; Joe Rose & Amber Hiller of Lawrenceburg, KY, and her beloved 8 great-grandchildren, whom she adored. A memorial service will be held at St. James Episcopal Church in Del Rio, TX on Saturday March 16, 2019 at 2 o’clock in the afternoon, with reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that a contribution in Sitta’s honor be made to the St. James Episcopal School.
