Obituary for Stacey Lynn Cobb Stacey Cobb, 45, of Lake of Egypt, passed away at 3:13 a.m., Sunday, February 24, 2019 at her residence with her loving family by her side. Stacey was born September 15, 1973 to Wayman and Linda (Elliott) Cavaness. She married Allen Cobb on March 6, 1993 in Benton.

Stacey and Allen have shared 26 years of marriage together. Stacey was Vice President and Loan Operations Manager at First Southern Bank in Marion. Stacey was a member of Cornerstone Church in Marion.

She loved to volunteer her time with Casa, Hospice of Southern Illinois, American Cancer Society Relay For Life and Gumdrops. Stacey had a wide variety of hobbies and enjoyed scrapbooking, crafting, reading, boating and camping. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends.

She especially loved to spend time with her children. Survivors include her husband Allen Cobb of Marion; children; Breea, Sarah and Brandon Cobb of Marion; father and step mother, Wayman and Wilma Cavaness of Anna; sister, Lisa (Jim) Newman of Buncombe; brother, Gary (Karen) Sullivan of Cobden; father-in-law, Albert “Mac” Cobb of Johnston City; brothers-in-law, Duane (Nancy) Cobb of Morris, Kenny (Fawnda) Cobb of Marion; Eddie (Kara) Cobb of Henderson, KY, Bill “Sparky” (Amy) Cobb of Marion, Alva (Toni) Bennett of West Frankfort; three sisters-in-law, Annette Medley of Belleville, Marilyn (Jacob) Reynolds of Marion and Melinda (Todd) Hunter of Johnston City. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

She was very close with her work family at First Southern Bank especially Mitzi Moore. She was preceded in death by her mother, Linda Cavaness; grandparents, Gabe and Evelyn Elliott and mother-in-law, Sharon Cobb. Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m., Saturday, March 2, 2019 at Redemption Church with Pastors Robbey Smith and Michael Nave officiating.

Interment will follow in Rosehill Cemetery in Marion. Visitation will be 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Friday at the Redemption Church (17466 N. Rt. 37 Johnston City).

Pyle Funeral Home in Johnston City is entrusted with the arrangements. The family would prefer memorial contributions be made in Stacey’s memory for her children’s education instead of flowers. Please make checks payable to Allen Cobb.
