Stephen Jagosh, age 89, of Hillsboro IL passed away on Wednesday, September 5, 2018 at 5:04 p.m. at Hillsboro Area Hospital, Hillsboro IL. A Memorial Mass will be held on Thursday, September 13, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Agnes Catholic Church, Hillsboro IL with Father Daniel Willenborg, pastor of St. Agnes Catholic Church, Hillsboro IL serving as Celebrant. Burial will be in St. Agnes Cemetery, Hillsboro.

There will be no visitation. Mr. Jagosh was born on January 9, 1929 at Taylor Springs IL to the late John, Sr. and Agnes (Jagodzinski) Jagosh. He was a graduate of Hillsboro High School and Renken Technical School, St. Louis MO.

Stephen owned and operated a heating, air-conditioning and plumbing business and also had owned a motorcycle repair shop. He was a member of St. Agnes Catholic Church, Hillsboro and Knights of Columbus, Hillsboro and enjoyed fishing and the outdoors. He had served in the Army during the Korean Conflict and had been in Germany during this time.

His marriage to Mariellen Etter was on June 25, 1955 at St. Agnes Catholic Church, Hillsboro IL and she preceded on December 7, 2009. Also surviving are his children, Stephen (wife Tamara) Jagosh, Bradenton FL; Sue Ellen Kunz, Springfield IL; Mark Jagosh, Hillsboro, IL; Michael Jagosh, Bloomington IL; Brian (wife Alice) Jagosh, Litchfield IL; thirteen grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; two sisters, Pauline Lipe, and Theresa Whitley, both of Hillsboro IL; two brothers, Joseph Jagosh, Tacoma WA and James Jagosh, Ft. Myers, FL.

Preceding were sisters, Marie Nicol, Agnes Strauber, Ludmilla Whitley and one brother, John Jagosh. Memorials are suggested to Disabled Veterans. Bass Patton Dean Funeral Home, Hillsboro IL is in charge of arrangements.
