Obituary for Stephen Ray Mickens Stephen Ray Mickens Springhill, LA Funeral services for Mr. Stephen Ray Mickens, age 49, will be held at 2:00 pm, Thursday, April 26, 2018, at LIFECHURCH. LA, Springhill, LA, with Bro. Jeff Grisham officiating.

Interment will follow in State Line Cemetery, Taylor, AR under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home. Visitation will be held Wednesday, April 25, 2018, 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm at Bailey Funeral Home, Springhill, LA. Mr. Mickens was born on May 14, 1968 to Bob and Trudy Shelton Mickens in Hot Springs, AR and passed away on Sunday, April 22, 2018 in Webster Parish, LA.

He was a sub-contractor for New Wave Communications. He liked to make everyone laugh, shooting pool, and enjoyed riding motorcycles. Above all else he loved spending time with his friends and family.

He is survived by his wife of 19 years, Lorraine Wilson Mickens; daughter, Jasmine Mickens of Shreveport, LA; two sisters, Krisanne Gunn of Shreveport, LA, Vicky Stephens and husband, Randy of Taylor, AR; three brothers, Michael Mickens and wife, Terry of Shreveport, LA, Robbie Mickens of Malvern, AR, Patrick Mickens of Little Rock, AR; six nephews, Matthew Stephens and wife, Holly of Springhill, LA, Joey Stephens of Bradley, AR, Timmy Gunn and wife, Tammi of Alaska, Josh Gunn and wife, Heather of Shreveport, LA, Justin Mickens of Emerson, AR, Aaron Mickens of Emerson, AR; three nieces, Trish Smith of Springhill, LA, Heidi Hughes and husband, Darrel of Springhill, LA, Holly Ellis and husband, John of Texas; step-father, Earl Wallace of Mott, LA; and beloved dog, Dobbie. Mr. Mickens was preceded in death by his parents. Pallbearers will be Lynn McLain, Glynn McLain, Luke Pickett, Bruce Haynes, Roger Johnson, Fred McLure and Stan Pickett.

Honorary pallbearers will be Matthew Stephens, Joey Stephens, Josh Gunn, Jared Johnson and Richard Hughes.
