Stephen Wayne Jarvis, 70, of Wadesville, Indiana, passed away Saturday, September 22, 2018 at St. Vincent Medical Center. Stephen was born in Evansville, Indiana on July 14, 1948 to the late Richard and Edna (Crooks) Jarvis. He was a graduate of Mt.

Vernon High School. Stephen was drafted into the United States Army and served in Vietnam in the US Army 1st Calvary and with the Blue Panther Recon. Stephen was a member of the Mt. Vernon American Legion and VFW. For all you have overcome and everything you have sacrificed July 13, 2018, your last mission.

Stephen is survived by his companion of 35 years, Dana Thornburg of Wadesville, IN; son, Gabe Jarvis; daughter, Chanda Patterson; son, Chance Jarvis all of Evansville, IN; son, Blake Jarvis, step-son, Chad Thornburg and all of the Thornburg Family of Wadesville, IN; sisters, Sherry Copeland (Roger) and Carrie Starks both of Evansville, IN; brother, Greg Jarvis (Roxanne) of Richland, IN; grandchildren, Jaýleigh, Kiera, and Ambria; nieces, Ashley O’Conner and Lindsay Copeland; and nephews, Brent and Nathan Jarvis, Devin Starks and Caleb Lengacher. Stephen was preceded in death by his parents. No services will be held at Browning Funeral Home.

Burial will be held at a later date at Arlington National Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Danny Embrey Memorial Scholarship Fund at North Posey High School. Condolences may be made online at www.
