Susan’s Obituary Susan Barrett, 64, of Lowell, passed away January 21, 2019 at the Robin Johnson House in Dallas. She was born December 24, 1954 a native of Gaston County, the daughter of the late Charles Douglas Hope and Betty Jean Ledford Hope. Susan is survived by her loving husband of over 25 years, Mike Barrett; sons, Michael Ray Jenkins and wife, Rita, and Charles Douglas Jenkins; step-children, Karen Barrett, and Michael Barrett Jr. and wife Heather; sister, Kelly Hope; grandchildren, Cloe Jewel Jenkins, Avy Maelin Jenkins, Cadence Alexus Barrett, and Aubree Grace Barrett; niece, Christina Carter; great-nieces, Layla Qureshi, Serenity and Penny Homesly; and great-nephew, Lamar Qureshi.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Douglas Dale Hope. A funeral service will be held 11 am Friday, January 25, 2019 at Greene Funeral Service – South Chapel 1503 S. York Rd. , Gastonia, officiated by the Rev.

Odell Cook. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm on Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Gaston Memorial Park.
