Sylvia Marie Farnum, 73 of the town of Plymouth was surrounded by her loving family as she entered her eternal life on Wednesday, May 16, 2018 at the Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice Center in Sheboygan Falls. Sylvia was born on February 15, 1945 in L’Anse, Michigan a daughter to the late John and Irene (Forcia)Vuk, Sr., She graduated from L’Anse High School and continued her education obtaining an associate degree in business from Soumi College. On June 22, 1968 she was united in marriage to Alan Farnum at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in L’Anse, Michigan.

She was a hard worker and retired after 35 years with the Kohler Company. She enjoyed gardening, camping and was deeply devoted to her family with a special love for her grandchildren. Sylvia had a strong faith and was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Plymouth.

Sylvia is survived by her loving husband of almost 50 years, Alan; her two sons, Roger (Danielle) Farnum of Sheboygan Falls and Jamie (Jill) Farnum of Plymouth; five grandchildren, Lena, Anton and Miles of Sheboygan Falls and Julia and Chase of Plymouth; her two sisters and a brother, Judy Vuk of L’Anse, John Vuk (special friend Mary Rogala) of L’Anse and Sue (Jeff) McCurdy of Ohio; a very special niece, Erin McConnell and other nieces, nephews, relative and friends. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by a sister-in-law, Colleen Vuk A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1 PM on Monday, May 21 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Plymouth with Rev. Dennis VanBeek as celebrant.

Family and friends may gather at the church, 115 Plymouth St. on Monday from 11 Am until the time of Mass at 1 PM. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. In preference to flowers memorials to the Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice are preferred.

Sylvia’s family would like to express their gratitude to the Neuro ICU at St. Luke Medical Center and to the Sharon S. Richardson Hospice for their care and comfort.
